Senior Oracle Database Developer

. Capturing requirements, conduct analysis, produce and document data models for corporate and project specific initiatives;
. Analyzing and evaluating alternative data architecture solutions to meet business problems/requirements and to comply with corporate data architectures, strategies and frameworks, including enterprise data warehouse activities;
. Designing, developing and maintaining Logical Data Models;
. Designing, developing and maintaining Physical Data Models;
. Defining data conversion mappings and ETL requirements between different data source and data targets;
. Developing and implementing PL/SQL and SQL procedures/scripts/packages that will ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data stored in the database;
. Identifying and documenting database content and structure, and developing/maintaining the data dictionary;
. Maintaining configuration control of the database;
. Performing and/or coordinating updates to the database design;
. Developing and implementing security procedures for the database, including access and user account management;
. Defining and documenting standards and best practices for data modeling activities;
. Providing technical assistance, guidance and directions in terms of Database Modeling and data issues and the efficient use of data, to various teams implicated throughout the system development cycle.
. Assist in troubleshooting and debugging database bottle-necks and provide performance metrics using database monitoring tools in both development and production environments
. Take ownership of identification and implementation of performance and maintenance improvements for the current database design and application interactions in both development and production environments

. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to lead and guide various developers in database development & coding
. Strong written and verbal communication skills
. Strong time management and multitasking skills, as well as excellent initiative and adaptability
. Minimum 5 years experience developing with PL/SQL on Oracle 9i/10g or higher.
. Experience using Oracle Designer 9i or greater;
. Technically fluent in database programming languages, including T-SQL and PL/SQL
. A minimum of 2 years of experience analyzing and evaluating alternative data architecture solutions for a large enterprise project;
. Expert knowledge and extensive experience with building, administering, and maintaining Oracle
. Experience in Data Modeling using the Entity Relationship Model
. Hands-on database performance tuning and troubleshooting experience and expert knowledge with performance analysis tools
. Experience in at least one project designing data models for Data Warehouse systems
. .NET development experience
. Working knowledge of Visual Studio Team System 2008 Database Edition
. Working knowledge of Crystal Enterprise 8/10, and Business Objects 11
. Experience with Agile development methodology
. Hands-on experience with various source control tools such as Subversion, Microsoft Team Systems, Microsoft SourceSafe, or similar
. Experience with building, administering, and maintaining MS SQL
