Full-Time Administrative Staff Position

Reporting to the Head of I.T., the successful candidate will provide all levels of support for the administration, management and production of data for the School. This position will also provide redundant support for basic network operations.
We are seeking candidates who have the relevant work experience in developing and managing all aspects of a Microsoft SQL Server environment, exceptional expertise in programming within Microsoft Access and FileMaker Pro, proven experience creating sophisticated templates with Crystal Reports, and advanced HTML/ASP/PHP programming skills. Experience working within the Microsoft .NET framework and an aptitude for a Microsoft Windows network infrastructure support are also essential to this position.
In addition to a university degree or diploma in Computer Science or related field, the ideal candidate will have superior analytical and technical trouble-shooting skills as well as a refined client service sensibility.
The I.T. Department at CDS supports a wide variety of technologies both in the classroom and administrative offices, including over 400 Macintosh and PC desktop and laptop computers connected in a school-wide hybrid wired/wireless Windows server-based network, a multitude of HP laser printers, digital display projectors, image scanners, digital still and video cameras, GPS devices, and LEGO Mindstorm robotics. Training and support is also provided for the many software suites and tools available to end users, most notably Microsoft Office, ESRI ArcView, Adobe Creative Suite, iWork/iLife, and back office administrative databases such as BlackBaud Raiser's Edge, COBA Finance, Blackboard Academic Suite, Follett Destiny, and in-house customized SQL installations.
